Is Pu Synthetic Leather The Same As Pu Leather?
No.
PU synthetic leather: PU synthetic leather (polyurethane synthetic leather) The back of PU synthetic leather is a cloth base (or knitted cloth base), which is easy to melt when burned. It has many advantages that PVC synthetic leather cannot match, and is an ideal material to replace natural leather.
PU leather: PU is the abbreviation of polyurethane in English, and its chemical Chinese name is "polyurethane". PU leather is the surface of polyurethane components. It is now widely used in the decoration of bags, clothing, shoes, vehicles and furniture.
Extended information:
The production methods of PU synthetic leather can be divided into three types: dry method, wet method and condensation and condensation method.
Dry method (also known as coating method): PU resin is prepared into a sol with a certain solid content and a certain viscosity, coated on the release paper as a carrier, and passed through an oven to control certain temperature, speed and other process conditions to make the solvent evaporate and form a film.
Then, the adhesive layer is coated on it and compounded with the base fabric. After drying, curing and cooling, it is peeled off from the release paper, and finally printed and processed to obtain dry PU synthetic leather. The release paper can be reused after being rewound by the paper machine.
Wet method: the base fabric is directly immersed in the prepared PU resin, and then washed and cured with a 25% dimethylformamide aqueous solution, then washed with hot water, and finally dried and post-treated to obtain wet PU synthetic leather.
Coagulation coating method: the base fabric is immersed in the PU resin, washed and cured, and then coated with resin and post-treated to obtain PU synthetic leather by coagulation coating.
Practice has proved that the excellent properties of synthetic leather cannot be replaced by natural leather. From the analysis of domestic and foreign markets, synthetic leather has also replaced a large number of natural leathers with insufficient resources.
The use of artificial leather and synthetic leather for the decoration of bags, clothing, shoes, vehicles and furniture has been increasingly recognized by the market. Its wide range of applications, large quantity and variety are beyond the reach of traditional natural leather.
