How To Identify Pu Artificial Leather
Smell the fur smell
When you approach the PU Leather product, natural leather will emit a strong fur smell. Even some processed products have a strong inherent smell. Artificial leather products have a plastic smell and do not have the fur smell of natural leather.
Observe the pores
Patterns and pores can be seen on the surface of natural leather, and they are unevenly distributed. There are animal fibers on the back, and the layers of the side section are clearly discernible. There are animal fibers in the lower layer. Scrape with fingernails, and the leather fibers will stand up, with a velvety feeling, and a small amount of fibers may fall off; while some synthetic leather products will also have pores and patterns, but they are not obvious, or there are signs of regular artificial carving, and there are no animal fibers on the side.
Touch with your hands
Because natural leather products are composed of naturally uneven fiber tissues, they feel elastic when touched by hand. If you bend the front side downward by about 90 degrees, natural wrinkles will appear. Bend different parts separately, and the thickness and amount of folds produced are obviously uneven, and the texture is also uneven. Artificial synthetic leather products feel like plastic to the touch, have poor elasticity, have similar creases when bent, and have clear and even texture.
